The Bud Johnson School of Soul started in my dorm room back in 1993. My roommate Eric and I listened to music pretty much all the time. Our room became known as the home of The Bud Johnson School of Soul and Eric’s Techno Funhouse. “Deeper Shade of Soul” became the theme song of the School of Soul. Today, it’s still one of my favorite songs.
